The VE882 HDMI Extender is a professional unit that uses
optical fiber to send HD audio and video signals over long
distances without length restrictions. The VE882 accommodates
an audio-video stream from a local source, and it serializes
the data to pass it via one single 3.125 Gbps optical link
(supports resolutions up to 1080p@60Hz at 24-bits). The HDMI
Extender can also distribute the IR remote control and RS-232
(up to 115kbps) in the two directions thereby allowing you to
connect serial devices like touch screens and barcode
scanners.
