Route one (1) HDMI source down or up to 1080p Full HD
The GefenToolBox HD1080p Scaler enable you to route one (1) HDMI
input to one (1) HDMI output with support for up to 1080p Full HD and
Deep Color. The unit can tremendously enhance the image quality by
outputting the video to the standard resolution of the display, with
no need for the display’s internal scaler. You can manually scale the
video up and down in resolutions up to 1080p Full HD. You can also use
the device to downscale, making it perfect for extending HD signal to
multiple displays that do not allow the same maximum resolutions in an
HDMI distribution system, while at the same time showing maximum
resolution on the higher-definition screens. Also, use for DVI signals
with suitable adapters. The GefenToolBox HD 1080p Scaler is easily
wall-mountable, so you can easily install behind the display. This
Scaler provides RS-232 control and is field-upgradeable. The Scaler
supports digital audio signals such as Dolby® TrueHD and DTS-HD Master
Audio™. The unit also supports Lip Sync. It features Proprietary
Advanced Color Engine Technology which offers brilliant color, bright
skin tones, intensified contrast and details, and sharp edges. It has
a high-performance frame rate conversion engine.
How It Works
Connect the source to the High Definition 1080p Scaler via the
included HDMI cable. Connect the display to the Scaler via an HDMI
cable. Link an optical or coax audio cable between the source and the
Scaler. You can connect another set of optical or coax audio cables to
an A/V receiver or amplifier. Attach the 5V DC locking power supply to
the Scaler and also connect the power cord to an available electrical
outlet. Choose the audio input via the On-Screen Display with the
front panel buttons or the IR remote control.
