Description

The VS-R265 is a stand-alone 4K audio/video streamer that functions as both an encoder and decoder – designed to deliver stable live streams and direct recordings without a connected PC. It supports H.264 and H.265 codecs and simultaneous 4K and Full HD streaming, making it suitable for continuous broadcast workflows. The unit provides on-device recording and decoding alongside live distribution to CDNs and streaming platforms.

Key features include hardware encoding for extended, reliable streaming sessions, support for multiple streaming protocols, and three simultaneous RTMP outputs for multi-platform distribution or backup. The VS-R265 records to SD cards, USB storage, or internal storage and offers MP4 and TS file formats. Front panel controls and a STREAM button provide immediate stream management during events.

Technically the VS-R265 supports H.264 and H.265 compression and accepts and outputs resolutions up to 4K as well as Full HD. It supports a wide range of streaming protocols including RTMP / RTMPS / RTSP / HLS / RTP UDP unicast / RTP UDP multicast. Recording options include MP4 and TS files, with internal storage available for local archiving.

Connectivity includes HDMI I/O for video and embedded digital audio, balanced analog audio via Euroblock/Phoenix connectors, and unbalanced 3.5mm stereo jacks. Audio can be embedded and de-embedded and the unit offers an installed output level configuration plus reference level switching up to +20dBu. Network control and automation are supported through a RESTful API V2 for integration with control systems.

The VS-R265 fits AV over IP deployments, corporate streaming, houses of worship, education, and event production where reliable continuous streaming and local recording are required. Its half-rack size and stand-alone operation make it straightforward to rack and deploy in fixed installs or mobile racks.
