Description

The DR-60DMK2 is a compact 4-track portable audio recorder and mixer designed to mount under DSLR camera rigs. It captures high-resolution WAV or BWF files up to 96kHz and 24-bit resolution. The unit is intended to replace camera mic inputs and deliver cleaner, multi-track audio for production workflows.

The recorder provides four independent input channels, a built-in digital mixer, and selectable recording modes including MONO, DUAL MONO, STEREO, DUAL STEREO and 4CH. Dual-channel safety recording allows a secondary track at -6dB to -12dB to protect against clipping. The DR-60DMK2 includes an internal Mid-Side decoder, limiter, high-pass filters, and per-channel delay for on-set mixing control.

High-quality HDDA mic preamps deliver up to 64dB of gain and exceptionally low noise, with an equivalent input noise of -120dBu. Record formats supported are WAV and BWF at 44.1kHz, 48kHz and 96kHz in 16- or 24-bit depth. Frequency response ranges to 20kHz at standard sample rates and extends to 40kHz at 96kHz sampling for detailed capture of high-frequency content.

Connectivity includes two combo XLR/TRS inputs with 24V/48V phantom on channels 1 and 2, two 3.5mm inputs that accept plug-in power or high-output mics, a dedicated Camera Out with adjustable level, Line Out, Camera In, and a powerful headphone output. USB mini-B provides mass storage access and a remote input supports wired control. The Camera Out can be attenuated to mic level without adapters to feed DSLR inputs directly.

The DR-60DMK2 fits on-camera for ENG, documentary, indie film, corporate video, and run-and-gun shoots where multi-microphone capture and accurate sync are needed. Use it to record boom plus lavalier at separate tracks, capture stereo sources or record a safety mix while shooting. The onboard slate tone generator supports automatic or manual slate tones to simplify alignment in post production.

Controls are laid out for quick access on set so the recorder is usable straight from the box without deep menu navigation. The unit accepts four AA batteries, USB bus power or optional external PSU and battery pack for extended runtime. Robust construction and a compact footprint make it simple to integrate into camera rigs, cages and on-location setups while maintaining reliable audio performance.
