The CD-A580 V2 combines a CD player, cassette deck and USB MP3 recorder/player into a single 3U rack-mount chassis designed for dependable audio playback, recording and archiving. It supports standard audio CDs, CD-R/CD-RW data discs containing MP3 files, and cassette tapes from C-10 to C-90. The unit offers front-panel controls and an included wireless remote for convenient operation.
Key features include dubbing from CD to cassette, direct recording to USB memory in MP3 format, and both program and shuffle playback modes. The cassette deck provides IC logic transport control, a +/-10% pitch adjustment for playback, and support for Type I/II/IV playback and Type I/II recording. The USB recorder handles automatic track division from CD and manual file division when recording from tape or line input.
Audio performance is engineered for installation use with a CD player frequency response of 20 Hz – 20 kHz +/-2 dB and a S/N ratio greater than 87 dB. Cassette deck performance includes a frequency response of 50 Hz – 12.5 kHz +/-4 dB and a wow and flutter of 0.25% WRMS. USB recording is fixed at MP3 44.1 kHz 128 kbps while USB playback supports MP3 from 16 kHz to 48 kHz and 8 kbps to 320 kbps.
Connectivity covers unbalanced RCA line inputs and outputs for integration into PA systems or mixers, plus a 6.3 mm stereo headphone jack with level control. The USB A-type port provides USB 2.0 Full Speed connectivity for flash memory recording and playback. The unit also features LC display level meters and a headphones output that delivers 10 mW + 10 mW into typical loads.
