Description

The WP-571 is an HDMI HDCP 2.2 wall plate transmitter designed to convert HDMI signals to Kramer DGKat twisted pair for long-reach distribution. It transmits HDMI over shielded twisted pair to a compatible receiver and supports Power Connect (PoC) to power the link from a single source. The unit is intended for fixed-install AV systems where a clean wall-plate mounting is required.

Key capabilities include 4.95Gbps total bandwidth, support for HDMI uncompressed audio channels and major lossless audio codecs, and 3D pass-through. The transmitter supports HDCP content protection and EDID pass-through to maintain source-display communication. DGKat signal integration enables TMDS, control and communication to run reliably over twisted pair cabling.

Performance is specified at up to 4.95Gbps (1.65Gbps per graphics channel) and system range up to 90m/295ft at 1080i@60Hz or up to 70m/230ft at 1080p@60Hz using Kramer DGKat cables. The unit provides active LED power indication and supports PoC so a single connected power supply can power both transmitter and receiver when within range. HDCP compliance and EDID pass-through ensure compatibility with protected content and a wide range of displays.

Connectivity consists of one HDMI input and one DGKat twisted pair output on an RJ-45 connector. The product requires shielded twisted pair cabling; when using third-party shielded CAT cables both ends of the shield must be soldered to the connectors for correct operation.
