Description
The UHD-IN4-F32 is a four-channel HDMI input card designed to be installed in a compatible modular matrix chassis. It accepts four HDMI sources and brings UHD video into a VS-3232DN-EM class system for centralized switching and distribution. The card is engineered for professional AV environments where multi-source 4K signal management is required.
The card supports up to 4K@60Hz at 4:2:0 chroma and provides a total data rate of 8.91 Gbps with 2.97 Gbps per graphics channel. It supports key HDMI features including 3D, Deep Color, x.v.Color, ARC and multi-channel audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD. EDID capture and Kramer equalization and re-klocking technology are included to help ensure stable signal delivery over typical HDMI cable lengths.
Performance-wise the card is HDCP 1.4 compliant and HDTV compatible, enabling protected content playback and integration with consumer and professional displays. Maximum reach is application dependent – up to 10m (32ft) for 4K60 4:2:0 and longer distances for lower resolutions; 1080p deep color runs reliably to greater distances. The unit also passes 3D content and supports up to 7.1 channel audio formats where source material provides them.
Connectivity is provided via four HDMI inputs, each carrying video, audio and control signals. EDID capture copies and stores display EDID to simplify source handshake and prevent timing issues when sources and displays differ. The card integrates seamlessly with the VS-3232DN-EM family and other Kramer modular systems that accept this board format.
Typical applications include professional display systems, broadcast and production monitoring, and rental or staging installations that require compact modular inputs. The card is intended for system integrators, AV managers and rental houses needing reliable multi-input HDMI capture into a central matrix. It is optimized for workflows that require consistent timing, HDCP handling and audio passthrough.
Installation is straightforward – the card slides into the compatible chassis and draws power from the host frame, consuming 8W nominally. Operating specifications support typical AV equipment room conditions and the construction follows industry standards for rack-mounted modular hardware. The design balances compact footprint and robust signal handling to simplify system buildouts and maintenance.
