Description

The SDIA-IN2-F16/STANDALONE is a 2-channel SDI input card designed to integrate SDI sources into modular matrix systems. It accepts two independent SDI feeds and offers optional unbalanced analog stereo audio embedding to combine audio with each SDI stream. The module converts each SDI input into HDMI format for internal routing inside compatible Kramer matrix chassis.

Key features include multi-standard SDI compatibility and audio embedding capabilities. The card supports SD-SDI, HD-SDI and 3G HD-SDI standards and handles up to 3Gbps data rates. Stereo audio embedding is provided via two 3.5mm unbalanced inputs for each channel.

Performance specifications provide reliable transmission for a variety of resolutions. The card supports a maximum data rate of 3Gbps and offers link ranges up to 300m for SD, 200m for 1080p HD and 90m for 3G 1080p over appropriate cabling. Power consumption is modest at 6W and operating temperature is rated from 0 to 40 C to match common AV environment requirements.

Connectivity includes two SDI BNC inputs at 75 ohms plus two unbalanced analog audio inputs on 3.5mm mini jack connectors. The module is built to plug into Kramer VS-1616D and VS-34FD series modular matrix switchers and converts the SDI signals to HDMI format for internal routing. Compliance with CE and environmental standards such as RoHS and WEEE supports system-level certification needs.

Typical applications span broadcast studios, video production suites, non-linear editing environments, boardrooms and classrooms where SDI sources need embedding and routing. The card is suited to workflows where combining line-level analog audio with SDI video is required prior to matrix distribution.
