Description

The F676-IN2-F16 is an HDMI fiber input card designed to receive ultra-reach optical HDMI signals and convert them back to HDMI and RS-232 control. It integrates directly into compatible modular matrices to provide long-distance 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) signal recovery. The card supports both multi-mode and single-mode fiber infrastructures for flexible deployment.

Key features include dual SFP+ fiber ports, HDCP 2.2 content protection, and support for up to 10.2 Gbps video bandwidth. The unit supports LPCM 7.1 and lossless audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD. Kramer I-EDIDPro intelligent EDID processing ensures reliable source/display negotiation and plug-and-play operation.

Performance is optimized using near-zero latency chroma subsampling adaptation to map HDMI data rates above 10G down to the 10G optical link. Maximum video resolution is 4096×2160 at 60Hz using 4:2:0 chroma subsampling. With Kramer certified SFP+ modules the card provides multi-mode reach of up to 3km and single-mode reach of up to 33km.

Connectivity includes two LC fiber inputs and two RS-232 ports on a 3-pin terminal block for bidirectional serial control. Optical link LEDs provide simple local diagnostics and troubleshooting. The card ships with two multi-mode SFP+ modules and accepts Kramer certified single-mode SFP+ modules for longer links.

Typical applications include secure long-distance AV distribution in government, medical, and rental/staging deployments. It is suitable for point-to-multipoint and multipoint-to-multipoint AV distribution across campuses and between buildings. The combination of HDCP 2.2 support and lossless audio passthrough makes it appropriate for demanding AV environments.

Installation is module-based for fast integration into the host modular matrix chassis and requires minimal configuration thanks to automatic EDID handling. The card operates on 9W nominal power and supports operating temperatures from 0 to 40 degrees Celsius.
