Description
The DTAXR-IN2-F16 is an HDBaseT input card designed for modular digital matrix systems. It accepts two HDMI inputs and carries embedded analog audio on the same connector, enabling simplified signal paths and installation. The card is built to extend HDMI signals and control over HDBaseT links to remote receivers.
The card delivers support for 4K@60Hz in 4:2:0 color sampling and a total data rate of 10.2Gbps, which equals 3.4Gbps per graphics channel. It provides analog audio embedding and de-embedding on the same jack to reduce cabling and streamline audio routing. HDCP compliance and HDTV compatibility ensure it interoperates with common professional displays and sources.
Performance-wise, the DTAXR-IN2-F16 supports long-distance HDBaseT transmission – up to 100m at 4K in normal mode, up to 130m at 2K, and up to 180m in ultra mode for 1080p@60Hz at 24bpp. The card includes Ethernet extension up to 100Mbps to preserve network connectivity across the link. Bidirectional RS-232 and infrared extension are supported to enable remote device control across the same HDBaseT connection.
Connectivity includes two HDMI inputs with analog audio embedding/de-embedding capability and HDBaseT output for video, audio, control, and Ethernet extension. The unit supports 3D pass-through and common HD video formats used in broadcast and staging environments. Compatibility with modular VS-1616 series matrix frames provides a flexible integration point for larger AV systems.
This input card is suited to broadcast facilities, production studios, presentation venues, and rental/staging rigs where consolidated HD and control signal extension is required. It supports remote control of connected sources and displays via RS-232 and IR across the HDBaseT link, reducing the need for separate control infrastructure. The card’s HDCP compliance and HDTV compatibility make it suitable for mixed-protection content environments.
The DTAXR-IN2-F16 is engineered for rack-mounted modular systems and integrates into existing Kramer VS-1616 frames with straightforward card insertion and configuration. Its construction follows professional AV standards for signal integrity and reliability. Field engineers will appreciate the simplified cabling and extended range capabilities when deploying in complex AV installations.
