Description
The EX-70-H2C is an HDMI extender designed to carry full 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 video and multichannel audio over a single Cat6/6a cable up to 70m / 230ft. It extends HDMI signals and IR control between source and display locations while preserving HDR and high-frame-rate content. The compact steel chassis supports professional mounting and reliable long-term operation.
The extender supports HDMI 2.0 and an 18Gbps data rate to maintain color depth and bandwidth for demanding video sources. Bi-directional PoC simplifies power wiring by allowing a single power supply to feed either the TX or RX unit. Bi-directional IR passthrough lets users control source devices from the display location and control the display from the source location.
Resolution and format support include 3840×2160@60Hz 4:4:4, 4096×2160@50Hz, 1080P up to 120Hz and multiple ultrawide and PC resolutions. HDCP 2.3 compliance and EDID management ensure compatibility with a wide range of sources and displays. The unit also features ARC support and an S/PDIF de-embed output to route TV audio back to an AV system.
Connectivity includes HDMI I/O on both TX and RX, an HDMI loop-out on the TX for a local monitor, RJ45 for Cat6/6a/7 cable runs, IR input/output connectors, and a Micro USB port for firmware updates. Transmission distance varies by cable type with up to 70m / 230ft over Cat6/6a/7 and 50m / 164ft over Cat5e. HDMI cable reach is specified for local connections.
The EX-70-H2C is suitable for home theater installations, conference rooms, and presentation spaces where centralized sources must feed remote displays. It supports audio return and de-embedding for AV racks, and its EDID control options reduce troubleshooting during system integration. The compact profile and wall-mount hardware keep installations neat and discreet.
Installation is straightforward with a locking DC 12V power connector and selectable EDID options on the TX unit. The RX unit provides an ARC/De-embed switch to route TV audio via S/PDIF.
