Description

The OG-C10DA is a 1×9 analog distribution amplifier designed to distribute a composite or reference video signal to multiple destinations. It supports standard analog formats including NTSC and PAL as well as bi-level blackburst and tri-level reference. The card is built to operate in openGear frames providing rack-mounted, hot-swappable deployment.

Key features include nine isolated analog outputs, an optional loop output, and selectable gain settings to compensate for long cable runs. The card accepts external BNC input or frame reference inputs and supports AES3-id digital audio and LTC timecode on the same BNC. Local DIP switches provide loop, reference input, termination, and gain control for quick field adjustments.

Performance is specified for broadcast environments with video bandwidth of 0 – 6 MHz +/- 0.1 dB and gain steps from -3 dB to +3 dB in 1 dB increments with +/- 0.3 dB tolerance. Differential gain and phase are tightly controlled at 0.15% and 0.1 degree respectively and response variation is under 0.1 dB across 1 to 9 loads. Return loss exceeds 15 dB to 6 MHz and output isolation is greater than 40 dB for clean distribution.

Connectivity includes a single BNC analog differential input, two openGear frame reference inputs, one BNC loop-out (active/passive), and eight BNC analog outputs. Control and monitoring are available via Ross DashBoard over Ethernet for frame-level management and local DIP switch control for per-card settings. The modular rear panel supports custom I/O configurations as supplied with the card.

The OG-C10DA is suited to broadcast and postproduction environments where stable reference or composite distribution is required across multiple devices. Typical applications include distributing blackburst or tri-level sync to routers, converters, and frame synchronizers and extending composite video to monitoring or recording gear. The support for AES3-id and LTC adds flexibility for embedded audio and timecode distribution on the same infrastructure.

Installation is straightforward in compatible openGear frames and the card is hot-swappable to minimize downtime during maintenance. Power consumption is low at 6.75 watts max per card and the card operates in standard broadcast environmental ranges. A five year warranty and compatibility with common openGear frames help ensure long-term reliability and support.
