Description
The Appotronics AL-DU935A is a high-brightness installation projector designed for large venues and demanding AV installations. It delivers WUXGA 1920×1200 resolution and a rated brightness of 9,000 lm to 9,300 lm (center), enabling clear, detailed images at long throw distances. The ALPD laser light source ensures consistent output and long service life.
Key features include the Signature ALPD engine, a sealed IP5X optical system, and an internal 4G module for enhanced connectivity. The projector supports advanced color tuning including RGBYCMW seven-axis correction to achieve uniform blended images and accurate color beyond REC.709. Lens options and wide manual axis shift improve installation flexibility in diverse environments.
From a technical perspective the DU935A uses a 0.67″ DMD single-chip DLP engine with a contrast ratio of 100,000:1 and 90% uniformity. The laser light source is rated for 20,000 hours and the display gamut targets REC.709 coverage with a red ratio above 10% for saturated colors. It supports screen sizes from 80″ to 300″ and optional lenses ranging from 0.62:1 to 1.23–1.97:1.
Connectivity includes DVI ×1, HDMI ×2, VGA ×1, RS-232 ×1, M3 ×1, RJ-45 ×1, USB ×1 and IR 3D out ×1 to support a wide range of sources and control systems. The projector can be monitored and managed via APCS – Appotronics Projectors Control System – available on desktop and mobile apps and cloud. All products support infrared 3D and DLP-link 3D for 3D projection workflows.
Typical applications include large auditoriums, houses of worship, lecture halls, rental and staging, and digital signage where high lumen output and color stability are required. The sealed optical engine and filter-free design reduce maintenance in dusty environments while preserving image quality over time. Multiple optional lenses and wide manual lens shift allow adaptation to varied throw distances and mounting positions.
The AL-DU935A is engineered for long-term installation use – it supports 360 degree installation and offers a standby consumption below 0.5 W. Noise level is specified at 35 dB in standard mode and power consumption is up to 600 W. The combination of long laser life, sealed optics and active color wheel cooling provides reliable operation and lower total cost of ownership.
