The Quantum HD 8 is an 8-channel USB-C audio interface designed to capture studio-quality multitrack recordings. It delivers 32-bit converters and up to 192 kHz sample rates for detailed audio capture. The unit targets project studios and full-band tracking where low noise and high dynamic range are required.
Key features include eight redesigned MAX-HD mic preamps offering up to +75 dB of gain and two front-facing instrument inputs co-developed with Fender engineers. The interface also provides two re-amp outputs for routing DAW tracks to guitar or bass amplifiers and re-recording. An illuminated push encoder and bright LED metering simplify level control and monitoring.
Performance highlights include 32-bit digital audio, a digital audio dynamic range of 124 dB, and supported sample rates from 44.1 kHz to 192 kHz. Microphone preamps exhibit a 116 dB dynamic range and -130 dBu EIN at maximum gain. Line-level and instrument-level circuits deliver high dynamic range and low total harmonic distortion across inputs and outputs.
Connectivity covers USB-C host, ADAT optical I/O, S/PDIF coax, BNC word clock I/O, 1/4″ TRS main and line outputs, and two 1/4″ TRS headphone jacks. Phantom power is available at +48 VDC for condenser microphones. The interface is compatible with major DAWs and includes a perpetual Studio One Pro license for immediate studio integration.
Typical applications include multitrack band recording, singer-songwriter production, podcasting, and re-amping sessions. The combination of high-gain preamps and instrument inputs makes it suitable for detailed acoustic and electric instrument tracking.
