Description
The Quantum ES 2 is a compact 2-in/2-out USB-C audio interface built to capture professional-quality performances in small studios and mobile setups. It provides 24-bit/192 kHz conversion, low-latency drivers, and a streamlined control set for tracking and monitoring. A perpetual Studio One Pro license is included to get users recording immediately.
The unit features two newly redesigned MAX-HD mic preamps offering up to 75 dB of gain, making it well suited to modern dynamic and condenser microphones. An Auto Gain function helps set optimal levels automatically while an illuminated push encoder allows precise manual adjustments of input gain and output volume. Front-facing instrument input was co-developed with Fender engineers to deliver refined response for guitar and bass players.
Performance is driven by low-noise converters and optimized drivers that minimize roundtrip latency for real-time monitoring and recording. Supported sample rates include 44.1, 48, 88.2, 96, 176.4 and 192 kHz with 24-bit depth and a digital audio dynamic range of 120 dB. Measured analog performance shows microphone preamp dynamic range up to 113 dB and instrument input dynamic range of 111 dB.
Connectivity is straightforward with a USB-C host connection, combo XLR/TRS mic inputs, front instrument jack, balanced 1/4″ TRS main outputs and a stereo 1/4″ headphone output. The interface provides +48 V phantom power for condensers and bright, responsive LED metering for input/output monitoring. Preamp control, phantom power and other settings are accessible from the top panel, the Universal Control app, or Studio One Pro.
The Quantum ES 2 is ideal for singer-songwriters, home studios, podcasters and mobile recordists who need a compact interface with studio-grade preamps. Guitarists and bassists benefit from the Fender-co-developed instrument input and the ability to record direct DI signals with low noise. The Auto Gain and clear metering speed up setup and reduce trial-and-error when tracking performers.
Setup and daily operation are designed to be intuitive – plug the unit into a USB-C host and use the illuminated encoder and Auto Gain to set levels quickly. The rugged black chassis and compact footprint make it easy to transport and integrate into laptop-based workflows. Firmware and software control via Universal Control and Studio One Pro streamline monitoring, routing and session recall.
