Description
The Eris Studio 4 is a compact 2-way active studio monitor designed to deliver accurate nearfield monitoring in small mix rooms and home studios. It combines a 4.5-inch woven-composite low-frequency driver and a 1-inch silk-dome high-frequency transducer to cover 55 Hz to 20 kHz. The monitor emphasizes clarity and a controlled dispersion pattern to reveal mix details.
Key features include an EBM elliptical waveguide that provides a wide 120deg horizontal sweet spot and tighter vertical dispersion to reduce desk reflections. The cabinet uses a front-firing acoustic port and optimized internal bracing to enhance low-frequency output from a small enclosure. A 50W Class AB biamplifier splits power between LF and HF drivers for precise dynamic control.
Technical performance includes a frequency response of 55 Hz – 20 kHz and peak SPL capability suitable for nearfield monitoring. Acoustic tuning controls allow HF and Mid adjustments of ±6 dB and selectable Acoustic Space settings of flat, -2 dB, or -4 dB. A selectable highpass filter provides Off, 80 Hz, or 100 Hz options to adapt to different placements and subwoofer setups.
Connectivity is flexible with balanced XLR, balanced 1/4-inch TRS, and unbalanced RCA inputs to accommodate audio interfaces, mixers, and consumer sources. The monitor uses an internal power supply with an IEC inlet and a front power switch with LED for simple integration. Built-in protection includes RF interference suppression, output-current limiting, over-temperature protection, transient protection, and a subsonic filter.
The Eris Studio 4 is suited to home studios, project rooms, and small professional mix environments where accurate imaging and low-frequency extension are required without a subwoofer. Its controlled dispersion and EBM waveguide make it effective for collaborative mixing and critical listening at typical nearfield distances. The compact footprint allows placement on stands or desktop use with minimal room intrusion.
Build quality features a vinyl-laminated medium-density fiberboard cabinet and an ultra-low-mass silk-dome tweeter for transient accuracy. The monitor ships ready to install and offers acoustic tuning to adapt to on-desk or near-wall placement. Overall, the Eris Studio 4 delivers a balanced monitoring solution for users seeking detailed reference sound in limited spaces.
