Description
The Eris 3.5 2nd Gen are compact 3.5-inch 2-way active studio reference monitors designed to provide accurate audio reproduction in small workspaces. They deliver clear, balanced sound across the frequency range and reproduce details required for critical listening. The pair is engineered for nearfield monitoring where accurate tonal balance matters.
These monitors combine a 3.5-inch woven-glass low-frequency driver and a 1-inch ultra-low-mass silk-dome tweeter to provide tight bass and refined highs. The integrated Class AB amplification supplies clean power to both drivers and supports dynamic transient response. High- and low-frequency acoustic tuning controls let you adjust the response to your room.
Performance is defined by a frequency response of 80 Hz to 20 kHz and a measured peak SPL of 98 dB at 1 meter. The speakers use a 2.8 kHz crossover point for smooth driver integration and accurate transient reproduction. Built-in protection circuits guard against RF interference, over-temperature, output-current limiting, turn-on/off transients, and subsonic signals.
Connectivity options include balanced 1/4-inch TRS inputs plus unbalanced 1/8-inch stereo and RCA inputs to accommodate a wide range of source devices. A front-panel 1/8-inch headphone output mutes the speakers when used and includes a shared level control for amp and headphone output. The monitors support standard line-level signals and can integrate with audio interfaces, mixer outputs, and consumer devices.
Eris 3.5 monitors fit well in bedroom studios, podcast booths, small production suites, and desktop multimedia setups where space is limited but accurate monitoring is still required. Their neutral tonal balance and tuning controls make it easier to translate mixes to other systems. The compact cabinets are finished in black vinyl-laminated MDF for stable acoustic behavior and a professional look.
Installation is straightforward – place them on stands or desk mounts at ear height and orient the tweeters toward the listening position for best imaging. The power cable uses an IEC connection and a power saver mode engages after 40 minutes of inactivity to reduce energy use. Overall, the Eris 3.5 pair offers a reliable, accurate nearfield monitoring solution for small rooms at a modest footprint.
