Description

The CDL10P is a powered constant-directivity loudspeaker designed to deliver consistent speech intelligibility and natural music reproduction in portable and installed sound reinforcement applications. It combines a segmented high-frequency array and a long-throw 10-inch low-frequency transducer to produce controlled dispersion and steady SPL across the listening area. This design minimizes near-field anomalies and maintains center-axis radiation for coherent sound in a variety of venues.

The enclosure integrates six 2-inch cone HF drivers arranged in a circular-arc array matched to a 10-inch woofer and driven by a 500W x 500W Class D amplifier. Onboard DSP provides multiple presets including high-pass filtering, array modes for 1-6 boxes, and subwoofer configurations for CDL18s ULT18 or AIR18s models. Rigging hardware and a dual-angle pole socket allow pole mounting or flown arrays up to six enclosures high.

Acoustically the CDL10P delivers 120deg horizontal coverage and a focused 15deg vertical pattern that can be extended by adding additional boxes to form a taller array. A low 420 Hz crossover point reduces comb filtering and maintains coherent midrange output when multiple cabinets are arrayed. The system achieves peak SPLs up to 130 dB and shares amplifier power across the HF array to reduce power compression and preserve transient response.

Connectivity is straightforward with a single XLR input and a direct XLR line output for chaining or system integration. The cabinet offers powerCON input and link output for AC distribution and supports universal mains 100-240 VAC at 50-60 Hz. DSP monitoring includes signal present, -3 dB, limiter protection and clip indicators to assist setup and on-site troubleshooting.
