Description

The CDL Sub18 is an 18-inch active subwoofer engineered to deliver tight, coherent low-frequency reinforcement for live sound and installed systems. It combines a high-excursion 18-inch driver and an integrated Class D amplifier to provide punchy, accurate sub-bass. The cabinet design and onboard processing focus on musical impact and system integration.

The subwoofer features an 18-inch LF transducer with a 4-inch voice coil and 7 mm of driver travel before over-excursion, enabling higher excursion without distortion. An integrated 2,000 watt peak (1000 watt RMS) Class D amplifier supplies the headroom required for clean transient response. A unique ported enclosure with four triangular corner ports improves efficiency while minimizing port noise and phase anomalies.

Two side handles and a rugged 15 mm eucalyptus plywood enclosure with Chemline Polyurea finish and a tour-grade steel grille simplify transport and installation. The enclosure shape and port placement are optimized to reduce baffle reflections and improve phase coherence with tops.
