Description
The KG0016 is an all-digital 16-port KVM over IP OmniBus Gateway designed to centralize remote BIOS-level access and management of servers. It provides secured, low-latency remote control and monitoring over IP for up to 16 direct server connections and independent remote sessions. The gateway digitizes video and control signals end-to-end to preserve signal integrity and deliver consistent 4K@30 video quality.
Key features include dual 10G NICs for redundancy, an embedded FIPS 140-3 OpenSSL cryptographic module, TLS 1.3 support, and high-speed virtual media transfer. The device supports Panel Array Mode Live+ for livestreamed multi-view monitoring and Mouse DynaSync for seamless mouse synchronisation. It also supports up to 32 concurrent remote users and provides hardware-level isolation to reduce electromagnetic interference risks.
Performance and technical details include support for resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 @ 30Hz, virtual media read/write rates of 265 Mbps and 188 Mbps respectively, and the ability to extend connections up to 100m over Cat 5e/6 cabling. The gateway operates across IPv4 and IPv6 networks, supports RADIUS/LDAP/LDAPS/Microsoft Active Directory authentication, and integrates with ATEN CC2000 and CCVSR software for centralized management and session recording.
Connectivity covers 16 RJ-45 KVM ports for DigiProcessor endpoints, 2 SFP+ uplink slots for 10G fiber or copper modules, 2 USB Type-A ports reserved for expansion, and dual IEC power inputs for redundant power configurations. The unit offers browser-based HTML5 WebClient access and a WinClient AP for full KVM functionality without Java. Local front-panel controls and an LCD provide status and quick configuration options.
Typical applications include data center remote administration, out-of-band management for production networks, control rooms requiring real-time multi-view monitoring, and secure environments that require FIPS 140-3 validated encryption. IT teams can use the KG0016 to reduce travel, accelerate mean time to repair, and maintain BIOS-level access during network outages. It is suitable for regulated sectors such as government, healthcare, finance, and utilities.
Installation is rack-friendly with a 1U form factor and compact KVM DigiProcessor endpoints for flexible server-side connections. The chassis uses an all-around ventilation design and four server-grade fan modules for reliable thermal management while maintaining a low acoustic profile. Firmware is upgradeable and event logging integrates with syslog and external log servers to support audit and compliance workflows.
