Description

The RE3-RX-5L is a half-rack UHF diversity receiver designed to be the control center of a professional wireless audio set. It operates in the 488-524 MHz band and offers stable, interference-resistant reception for handheld and bodypack transmitters. The unit features a compact 1/2 rack enclosure and an easy-to-read LCD display for quick status checks.

Key features include antenna diversity reception, clear frequency scanning, and wireless synchronization to a paired transmitter. The receiver provides both balanced XLR and unbalanced 1/4 inch TRS outputs to integrate with mixers and PA systems. The front panel LCD displays group, channel, frequency, antenna status, and transmitter battery level for streamlined operation.

Performance highlights include a phase-locked loop frequency oscillator, up to 36 MHz tuning bandwidth (band-dependent), and a signal-to-noise ratio greater than 100 dB(A). Measured total harmonic distortion is under 0.6% at 1 kHz and receiving sensitivity is rated at -81 dBm for -12 dB SINAD. The frequency response covers 63 Hz to 16 kHz +/-2 dB for bodypack operation and 51 Hz to 16 kHz +/-2 dB for handheld operation.

Connectivity includes a detachable half-wave antenna with BNC connectors and antenna booster power output capable of DC 12-15 V at 100 mA. Audio outputs comprise one balanced XLR and one unbalanced 1/4 inch TS jack, with output levels of -4 dBV (line) and -24 dBV (mic) on XLR and -10 dBV on the 1/4 inch jack. The receiver also supports ultrasonic 40 kHz sync to wirelessly transfer frequency and transmitter settings.

The RE3-RX-5L is well suited to applications such as live sound reinforcement, broadcast ENG, corporate AV, and mobile production rigs.
