Description

The RE3-RX-5H is a half-rack UHF wireless diversity receiver designed to deliver reliable RF reception and clean audio output. It provides clear frequency scanning and wireless synchronization to compatible RE3 transmitters. The unit is intended as the control center of an RE3 wireless set and supports broad tuning in band-specific ranges.

The receiver features dual-antenna diversity reception which reduces signal dropouts by selecting the strongest signal path in real time. It offers frequency scanning, ultrasonic sync, and full transmitter control settings that can be mirrored to a paired transmitter. The front-panel LCD provides clear readout of group, channel, frequency, and RF/AF levels.

Technically the receiver uses PLL frequency oscillation and supports a carrier range listed for the series with a 36 MHz tuning bandwidth band-dependent. It delivers better than 100 dB(A) signal-to-noise ratio and THD below 0.6% at 1 kHz. Receiving sensitivity is specified at -81 dBm for -12 dB SINAD and the audio frequency response varies by transmitter type.

Connectivity includes a balanced XLR output and an unbalanced 1/4 in TRS output, plus detachable 1/2-wave antennas on BNC connectors and antenna booster power. Output levels are provided in line and mic references and output impedances are specified for balanced and unbalanced configurations. Control functions cover power, scan, group/channel selection, squelch, TX parameters and display settings.
