Description
The iCast 10NDI MKII is an all-in-one 4-input 1080p switcher designed to combine live switching, streaming and recording into a single compact unit. It integrates SDI/HDMI inputs, NDI|HX over IP, an H.264 recorder and a hardware encoder for direct streaming. The unit adds UVC output for conferencing compatibility and provides multiview monitoring on HDMI.
Key capabilities include four video inputs, up to three NDI channels, RTSP/SRT/RTMP streaming, and PGM recording to a removable SSD enclosure. The switcher supports H.264 encoding and configurable bitrate and frame rates for efficient long-form recording. Built-in audio mixing supports XLR and RCA inputs plus embedded audio, and each audio channel offers independent delay calibration.
Performance supports Full HD 1080p at common broadcast frame rates and down-converted outputs where required. The recorder captures MP4 files using H.264 video and AAC-LC audio at 48 kHz sample rate. Network features include NDI|HX encode/decode, SRT Caller/Listener modes, RTSP, RTMP/RTMPS, HLS and WebRTC for flexible transport options.
Connectivity covers 1x 3G/HD/SD-SDI, 4x HDMI 1.4 (one selectable SDI/HDMI), two gigabit Ethernet ports, USB3.0 UVC output, XLR balanced audio, RCA stereo, and a 3.5 mm headphone monitor. Control options include Web UI, RS-232 serial over RJ-45 and Datavideo DVIP protocol for touch panel and peripheral control. The front-panel 2 inch LCD provides quick access to presets, layouts and status indicators.
Typical applications include lecture capture, classroom presentation, corporate and worship streaming, and small studio production where mixing live camera sources, slides and graphics is required. The unit supports vertical streaming and multiview layouts to accommodate mobile viewers and social platforms. Integrated character generation and logo insertion simplify on-air titles and branding.
Installation and operation are aimed at straightforward deployment – rackable 1U chassis, SATA removable SSD enclosure, and simple network streaming setup. The machine offers user presets, an intuitive front panel, and optional TPC-700P touch panel integration for expanded control. Firmware updates are handled via Web UI to keep the system current.
