Description
The PTC-285G is a 4K PTZ camera engineered for professional broadcast and live production environments – it delivers 2160p video up to 60fps while supporting NDI HX, 12G-SDI and HDMI outputs. The camera combines a 1/2.8″ Sony CMOS sensor and 12x optical zoom to capture detailed imagery across wide and close framing. Integrated auto-tracking and PID-based speed adaptation provide reliable subject follow performance for single-operator workflows.
Key capabilities include NDI HX over a single Ethernet cable with PoE, simultaneous HDMI 2.0 and 12G/3G-SDI outputs, and dual-stream H.264/H.265 encoding for distribution and CDN streaming. The PTC-285G supports RTSP, RTMP(S), SRT and dvCloud workflows and offers NDI Virtual Input compatibility for conferencing platforms. The camera also supports ONVIF Profile S and multiple control protocols including VISCA over IP and Datavideo DVIP.
Image performance is driven by a 1/2.8″ Sony CMOS sensor with approximately 8.51 megapixels and 3D noise reduction for improved low-light clarity. Minimum illumination is 0.5 lux at F1.8 with AGC enabled, and the electronic shutter range is 1/30s to 1/10000s. Optical focal length is 4.4mm to 52.8mm (F1.8 to F2.6) delivering an 80 degree horizontal field of view at wide angle and a total of 12x optical zoom plus 16x digital zoom.
Connectivity options include HDMI 2.0, 12G-SDI, 3G-SDI and a GigE RJ45 port with PoE (IEEE 802.3at). Audio input is a 3.5mm mic/line jack and streaming supports AAC and G711 audio codecs. Control interfaces include IR remote, RS-422/RS-232, DVIP, VISCA, Pelco-P/Pelco-D and NDI control. Tally lights and web GUI preview are included for studio monitoring and operator feedback.
Typical use cases include multi-camera studio production, lecture capture, worship services and corporate presentations where remote operation and networked video transport are required. The PTC-285G’s auto-tracking, preset recall and PTZ speed curve make it suitable for single-operator or automated systems.
