Description
The DANTE-12GAM is a 12G-SDI to Dante audio bridge designed to embed and de-embed up to 64 channels of audio between SDI video and Dante audio-over-IP networks. It converts embedded SDI audio into Dante streams and converts Dante channels back into SDI-embedded audio, enabling seamless audio routing across IP infrastructures. The unit includes a BNC 12G-SDI coax transceiver SFP for coax physical layer connectivity.
Key features include support for 12G-SDI video, DCI 4K and UHD 4K resolutions, and up to 64 simultaneous audio channels via four groups of 16 channels per SDI input. The unit provides two locking EtherCON RJ45 ports for Dante primary and secondary networks, dual internal video signal generators, and an integrated web UI for monitoring and configuration. AES67 and SMPTE ST 2110-30 support extend interoperability with other IP audio systems and ST 2110 infrastructures.
Performance specifications include ultra-low video path latency measured in microseconds and audio embed/de-embed latencies consistent with broadcast workflows. Supported audio sample rates include 44.1 kHz, 48 kHz, 88.2 kHz and 96 kHz with PCM 16/24/32 encoding options. The DANTE-12GAM supports 12- or 10-bit 4:4:4 and 4:2:2 colorspaces for RGB and YCbCr video formats, ensuring uncompromised signal quality.
Connectivity is comprehensive with one BNC 12G-SDI input, one BNC 12G-SDI output, a dual BNC SFP output option, a USB-C port for static IP setup, and dual EtherCON RJ45 ports for Dante network integration. The front panel LCD and physical buttons provide local status and configuration while the AJA Web UI offers remote control and firmware update capabilities. PoE and external AC adapter power options provide flexible deployment choices.
