The SF-NP100A is a Dante/AES67 network audio power amplifier that converts network audio to a 100 W constant voltage mono output. It accepts four network channels, provides a single amplified 70 V or 100 V output and supplies three additional channels as RDL Format-A outputs. This product is intended for installers who need a networked amplifier with integrated format conversion and remote level control.
Key features include a 100 W RMS Class D amplifier output, selectable Dante sample rates up to 96 kHz and a selectable compressor that adds up to 15 dB of headroom. The unit provides 0 dBFS as the reference for full rated output and offers thermal and short-circuit protection to safeguard the load and amplifier. Front and rear LEDs report network sync, output level and Format-A power status for quick visual diagnostics.
Performance specifications include support for 24-bit audio, sample rates of 44.1 kHz to 96 kHz and a transmission rate of 100 Mbps across the RJ45 network connection. The Format-A outputs deliver low distortion and flat frequency response across 20 Hz to 20 kHz, while the amplifier maintains THD+N below 1% at full power. Noise performance is rated below -85 dB at max power and the VU metering is calibrated to 10 dB below full output.
Connectivity is provided via an RJ45 network connector for Dante/AES67 audio and RJ45 Format-A outputs for distribution to other RDL devices. Remote level control is supported via the RJ45 jack using RDL D-RLC10M-type controls, a 10 kΩ potentiometer or a 0 to 10 Vdc control voltage. The included external 48 Vdc power supply pairs with the IEC C14 inlet for worldwide AC operation from 100 to 240 Vac.
Typical applications include distributed paging, background music and small-venue distributed audio systems where networked audio feeds multiple amplifiers. The combination of a mono constant-voltage output and three Format-A outputs allows a single network stream to drive a local speaker zone while passing audio to additional amplification tiers.
