Description
The IP25-R is an IP-to-baseband converter that receives SMPTE ST 2110 streams and outputs baseband 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 signals. It is built for broadcast, live production, and engineering environments that require frame-accurate conversion and low latency. The converter supports resolutions up to 4K DCI 4096x2160p60 to preserve image fidelity.
The unit features dual SFP28 network ports supporting 10 GigE and 25 GigE SFPs and ST 2022-7 seamless protection switching. Four 12G-SDI BNC outputs and two HDMI 2.0 outputs provide flexible distribution options for monitoring and routing. The IP25-R de-encapsulates ST 2110-20 video, ST 2110-30 audio, and ST 2110-40 ancillary data with HDR aware pass-through and configurable colorimetry.
Supported video formats include 4K DCI 4096x2160p up to 60 fps and UHD 3840x2160p up to 60 fps plus multiple 2K and HD formats. Video is delivered as YCbCr 4:2:2 10-bit over SDI and YCbCr 4:2:2 10-bit or RGB 4:4:4 8-bit over HDMI where applicable. Audio supports up to 16 channels per stream, 24-bit, 48 kHz synchronous and embeds audio on SDI and HDMI outputs.
Control and configuration are available via an intuitive WebUI accessible in-band over media ports or out-of-band via the RJ-45 1 GigE port. The front USB-C port supports AJA eMini-Setup for initial static IP configuration and the unit supports NMOS IS-04/IS-05, LLDP, and IGMP v2/v3. PTP support is provided for precise timing and SMPTE ST 2059-1 compliance for IP clock synchronization.
The IP25-R fits portable and rack environments in a compact 1RU profile and can be mounted side-by-side for high-density deployments. Active front-to-back cooling and a durable aluminum enclosure enable reliable operation in OB trucks, control rooms, and remote production rigs. Redundant network protection via SFP28 and rackmount options with redundant power make it suitable for mission-critical workflows.
Setup and operation are streamlined through the WebUI and REST APIs, enabling quick signal routing, HDR metadata adjustments, and internal routing between RX inputs and SDI/HDMI outputs. The IP25-R provides consistent baseband outputs from IP sources, making migration to IP workflows seamless while maintaining compatibility with existing SDI and HDMI monitoring systems. This combination of standards compliance and practical connectivity offers clear value in modern broadcast infrastructures.
