The Wall-Smart NC hidden in-wall adapter provides a flush-mounted enclosure for tablet-based control points – designed to integrate a Microsoft Surface tablet into drywall or concrete installations. This adapter secures the tablet behind a paintable front panel while allowing easy insertion and removal. It is intended for fixed installations where a clean wall-integrated appearance is required.

Key features include an electrically operated lock controlled by the supplied Wall-Smart key and a landscape mounting position designed for tablet use. The front panel is supplied unpainted and includes a paint masking plug to finish the installation as part of the surrounding wall. Internal surfaces are finished in black to minimize reflections and visual distraction.

Technical specifications include a compact footprint of 406mm x 364mm x 48.3mm and a unit weight of 3.1Kg (6.8lbs). The electric lock requires a 12VDC 0.28A power source which is delivered via an attached power cord – a power supply is not included. The adapter supports secure physical mounting and provides coverage for the tablet camera and microphone when the door is closed.

Connectivity and compatibility are centered on tablet integration – the adapter is designed for use with Microsoft Surface Go 2 and compatible USB-C travel hubs by Microsoft. The unit ships with a USB-C 90° adapter to facilitate cable routing and a Wall-Smart key for lock operation. Tablet and hub are not included and must be supplied separately by the installer.

For concrete or block walls, a dedicated WS Concrete Box 406×364 P/N 10-01-048 is available and installation follows the corresponding instruction set. The adapter kit is supplied ready for integration and is built for reliable in-wall use.
