Description
The VW3620 is a modular True 4K video wall processor designed to manage multiple input sources and drive large multi-screen displays from a single 7U chassis. It supports up to 36 input sources and up to 20 displays in mixed resolutions and sizes. The unit is engineered for continuous 24/7 operation and mission-critical environments where reliability and image fidelity matter.
The processor uses an FPGA hardware architecture to handle True 4K signals and supports 4K@60 4:4:4 signal processing for high color precision. Seamless source switching operates near-zero-second to avoid visible interruption during live switching. Advanced windowing features enable PiP, PbP, cropping, overlap, and spreading content across multiple displays in custom layouts.
Technically, the VW3620 offers 7 input slots, 5 output slots, and 2 function board slots that can function as additional input slots, enabling flexible I/O configurations. It supports HDMI Deep Color and is HDCP 2.2 compliant where HDMI I/O boards are installed. Local monitoring via HDMI supports Single and Array mode previews at up to 1080p in real time.
Connectivity and control options include RS-232, Ethernet, front-panel controls, a Web GUI and RESTful API support. The unit also integrates with ATEN Control System and third-party devices via RS-232 and Ethernet. Built-in USB Type-A ports allow background image updates and firmware upgrades.
The VW3620 is tailored for command centers, control rooms, public security hubs, broadcast facilities, and large-scale digital signage installations where synchronized, tear-free playback and high-resolution accuracy are essential. Backup Mode and Expansion Mode allow daisy-chaining for redundancy or to scale up to 60 displays across multiple units. FrameSync and EDID management help ensure clean output and reliable startup across heterogeneous screens.
Designed for serviceability, the chassis supports hot-swappable CPU control board, dual redundant power modules, hot-swappable I/O boards and cooling fan modules for minimal downtime. The metal 7U rackmount housing provides robust build quality and the system can be remotely managed and automated through RESTful API or integrated control systems. Production based in Taiwan and certifications include HDCP 2.2 compliance where applicable.
