Description

The CL5716MW is a 16-port PS/2-USB VGA single-rail Slideaway LCD KVM switch that consolidates keyboard video mouse control into a compact 1U rack console. It integrates a 17.3in Full HD LED-backlit display, keyboard and touchpad in a sliding housing designed for rack environments. The unit enables centralized control and improves server room ergonomics while saving rack space.

This model features exclusive LED illumination for the keyboard and touchpad to aid operation in low-light conditions – an LCD module that tilts up to 120 degrees for flexible viewing – and a Slideaway housing for secure storage when not in use. It supports daisy chaining up to 31 additional units, allowing control of up to 512 computers from a single console. The CL5716MW also supports multi-platform environments including Windows, Linux, Mac and Sun.

Technical performance includes a 17.3in TFT-LCD panel at 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz, 16.77M color support, 250 cd/m2 luminance and a 170 degree viewing angle. Video support extends up to 1920 x 1200 @ 60 Hz with DDC2B. Keyboard and mouse emulation for PS/2 and USB ensures smooth switching and simultaneous booting of multiple systems even when console focus is elsewhere.

Connectivity comprises 16 SPHD KVM ports for target systems, DB-25 daisy-chain ports, RJ-11 firmware upgrade port and an external SPHD console port. A front-panel USB Type-A port provides a hot-pluggable mouse or USB peripheral connection. The unit auto-detects PS/2 or USB interfaces and supports multimedia USB keyboards for PC, Mac and Sun.
