Description
The KG9900T USB DisplayPort KVM DigiProcessor is a compact, zero-U digital endpoint designed to connect a KVM over IP OmniBus Gateway to target computers. It converts local DisplayPort and USB signals into a secure digital stream for remote access and control. The unit supports high-quality video and virtual media functions to enable remote management of servers and workstations.
This DigiProcessor delivers distortion-free video up to 1920 x 1200 at 60 Hz in 24-bit color and supports transmission over Cat5e/6 cabling up to 100m. Virtual Media is supported with fast read/write throughput to speed firmware updates and file transfers. The device is bus-powered, firmware upgradable, and supports DisplayPort digital audio and smart card/CAC readers.
Technical performance is driven by an integrated SoC for efficient video compression and low-latency keyboard-video-mouse synchronization. Typical power consumption is DC5V:4.16W and the unit remains passively cooled by an aluminum die-cast shroud with heat-radiating fins. Environmental specifications include an operating temperature range of 0 to 40°C and storage range of -20 to 60°C.
Connectivity includes a single RJ-45 KVM link, an RJ-45 SP port reserved for future expansion, one DisplayPort male connector and two USB Type-A male connectors. LEDs provide link status and network speed indication, and a semi-recessed reset pushbutton allows onsite troubleshooting and resets. Note that the DigiProcessor is compatible only with KG0016 and KG0032 gateways and must be directly connected to them without an intermediate network switch.
Typical deployment scenarios include data centers, server rooms, control rooms and high-tech production lines where remote BIOS-level access and secure virtual media are required. The DigiProcessor reduces the need for physical access to equipment racks and supports digital twin and remote monitoring workflows. Its compact, lightweight form factor and SR mounting hanger help maintain tidy rack installations.
Installation is plug-and-play and requires no external power adapter thanks to bus power operation. The die-cast aluminum housing offers passive cooling and mechanical protection for continuous operation. Firmware can be updated to maintain security and feature parity, making the KG9900T a practical choice for centralized, secure remote server management.
