The PG series 30-outlet 3-phase outlet-metered / switched eco PDU delivers rack-level power distribution and accurate energy monitoring for high-density IT environments. It provides outlet-level metering and switching to help operators manage load distribution and energy use across servers and network equipment. The PDU is designed for 0U rack mounting to conserve rack space while increasing usable power per rack.
Key capabilities include 6 IEC 60320 C19 and 24 IEC 60320 C13 outlets, precise kWh metering with +/-1% accuracy, and built-in energy-saving relays that reduce standby losses. An ARM Cortex-A8 processor enables local LCD monitoring and remote management through LAN / COM / USB / environment sensor interfaces. The unit powers up connected equipment rapidly and supports outlet-level switching for circuit-level control.
Technically the PDU accepts 208V 3-phase input and supports 20A maximum input current with 16A UL de-rating, delivering up to 7205 VA (5764 VA UL de-rated) input power. Outlet current ratings are C13: 15A max 12A UL de-rated and C19: 20A max 16A UL de-rated. The device offers detailed per-outlet measurements of current, voltage, power factor and kWh to support accurate baselining and energy initiatives.
Connectivity options include dual-speed Ethernet (1 Gbps and 100 Mbps), support for SNMP V1/V2/V3, Modbus over TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS and modern security protocols such as TLS 1.2. The environment sensor RJ-45 port allows daisy-chaining of up to eight sensors for temperature, humidity, airflow and leak detection. The PDU can accept compatible USB Wi-Fi dongles for wireless network connectivity when supported.
Typical applications include enterprise server racks, network closets and data center aisles where outlet-level control and energy metering improve uptime and reduce operating cost. Cascading support enables up to 64 PDUs to be managed together and PON connectivity to ATEN KN series KVM over IP allows centralized control of multiple PDUs. Real-time LCD alerts and colored removable panel stickers simplify feed identification and troubleshooting in busy rack environments.
Installation is optimized for rack environments with a 0U form factor, an adjustable 90-degree rotatable power cord and a rotatable 180-degree LCD screen for flexible placement. The LCD console is hot-swappable for maintenance without powering down critical loads and locking enhancements prevent accidental unplugging. The PG series is backed by a three-year warranty and firmware support for ongoing security and feature updates.
