Description

The VK2100A Control Box is a networked AV control processor designed to manage room devices and integrate with centralized management platforms. It features a quad-core CPU and 1GB of SDRAM to deliver responsive control, real-time status updates and support for complex GUI projects. The device connects to ATEN Unizon for centralized monitoring and management.

Key capabilities include multiple serial ports, IR learning, relay channels, programmable digital I/O and 12 VDC outputs for powering peripherals. The unit supports native KNX IP, SNMP, Modbus, ONVIF and common network protocols such as TCP/UDP/HTTP/HTTPS and SSH. The USB port enables easy project upload and firmware updates.

Technical performance is driven by a quad-core processor, 1GB SDRAM, 8GB flash storage and gigabit Ethernet connectivity. The device supports IEEE 802.1x authentication for network security and provides LED indicators for connection and hardware status. Two free mobile-control licenses are included on the device and up to 16 licenses can be managed.

Connectivity options are extensive – programmable bi-directional RS-232/422/485 ports, additional RS-232 ports, IR/serial programmable ports, relay channels, digital I/O, 12 VDC output ports and a USB Type-A port. Network support includes DHCP, static addressing and a default IP fallback. The VK2100A is compatible with a wide range of AV, lighting, HVAC and facility devices.

Typical applications include boardrooms, lecture halls, conference spaces, control rooms and mass-deployed installations such as government, corporate and healthcare facilities. It supports multiuser access control and custom GUIs for mobile devices, ATEN keypads and touch panels. Integration with third-party web consoles is supported through the Web Viewer and WebSocket interfaces.

Installation is rack-mountable and designed for enterprise environments, with metal housing, terminal block connectors and an included rack mount kit. Operating range and environmental tolerances support standard AV room deployments. The VK2100A provides a secure, manageable and extensible platform for centralized AV control and system-wide administration.
