The ZX5-60B is a passive 15 inch loudspeaker designed to deliver focused speech and music reinforcement for medium to large venues. It pairs a high-excursion low frequency transducer with a neodymium compression driver to provide high output and extended low end. The enclosure is engineered for durability and stage use while maintaining a compact footprint.
Key features include the DVX3150 15 inch LF transducer with forced-air voice coil cooling and the ND2 neodymium compression driver with a 1 inch exit. The speaker provides a 60 x 60 degree coverage pattern intended for long-throw and cluster applications and can be used in passive or biamp configurations. It has selectable biamp/LF and HF handling and a crossover at 1.5 kHz to optimize driver integration.
Performance specifications deliver a frequency response of 58 Hz to 18 kHz (-3 dB) and a rated range to 39 Hz (-10 dB). Sensitivity is 98 dB (1 W/1 m) with a maximum calculated SPL of 132 dB, and the passive power handling is 600 W continuous (2400 W peak). Nominal impedance is 8 ohms with a measured minimum of 6.5 ohms, providing predictable loading for amplifiers.
Connectivity is via two Neutrik Speakon NL4 connectors for secure speaker-level connections. The enclosure includes multiple suspension and rigging points – anchor plates and forged steel eyebolts – to support flown arrays or bracket mounting. The ZX5-60B is available in black or white finishes and includes a rotatable logo on the steel grille to suit installation orientation.
This loudspeaker is appropriate for front-of-house PA duties, stage monitoring when positioned on its angled faces, and permanent installed applications where controlled coverage is required. It supports clustering or distributed arrays in houses of worship, theaters, clubs, and corporate event spaces. The selectable biamp option allows system designers to allocate amplifier channels for specific low and high frequency loads.
Installation and handling are simplified by a lightweight transducer design, molded polypropylene structural foam enclosure, and multiple suspension points for single-stud fittings. The enclosure shape permits two monitor angles without accessories and the input connectors are industry standard for fast hook-up.
