The ZX3-90PI passive loudspeaker delivers focused two-way sound reproduction in a weather-resistant, compact enclosure. It combines a 12 inch low-frequency driver and a 1 inch compression driver to provide full-range audio and high maximum SPL. The enclosure is molded polypropylene structural foam for durability and outdoor operation.
Key features include a DVX3121 12 in LF transducer with forced-air cooling, an ND2 neodymium compression driver, and a 90° x 50° coverage pattern for controlled directivity. The speaker supports 600W continuous power handling and peaks to 2400W, providing high acoustic output for installed and portable systems. Adjustable monitor angles of 45° and 55° are integrated for stage wedge use without accessories.
Performance specifications deliver a measured frequency response of 58 Hz to 15 kHz (-3 dB) and a usable range to 48 Hz – 20 kHz (-10 dB). Sensitivity is 97 dB (1W/1m) and maximum calculated SPL is 131 dB. The passive crossover is set at 2 kHz with nominal impedance of 8 Ohms and a minimum of 6.2 Ohms.
Connectivity is provided via a two-conductor SJO cable and a gland nut input for weather protection. The enclosure includes four single-stud anchor plate locations and seven forged steel eyebolt suspension points for rigging flexibility. Environmental ratings include IEC 529 IP24 / IP44 and designed resistance to outdoor conditions.
Applications include fixed outdoor installations, portable PA systems, houses of worship, and stage monitoring where weather resistance and high output are required. The rotatable grille logo and available color options support visual integration into venues. The speaker is suitable for clustered arrays or single-box coverage depending on system design.
Installation is simplified by multiple suspension points, M8 inserts for brackets, and an impact-resistant enclosure that reduces maintenance. The molded enclosure geometry enhances rigidity and low-frequency performance while keeping overall weight manageable.
