The ZX1i is an 8 inch, two-way passive full-range loudspeaker engineered for installed indoor and outdoor audio applications. It delivers clear midrange and extended low-frequency response from a compact, weatherized enclosure. The product is designed to meet demanding audio coverage needs while maintaining reliable long-term operation.
Key features include a long-excursion 8 inch low-frequency driver and a DH2005 compression driver coupled through a 1.7 kHz crossover. The enclosure uses high-impact ABS resin and a multilayer grille with hydrophobic cloth to resist weather and impact. Two rotatable horn patterns provide selectable coverage to match deployment requirements.
Performance specifications include a frequency response of 60 Hz to 20 kHz (-3 dB) and a calculated maximum SPL of 123 dB. Rated system power is 200 W continuous, 400 W program, and 800 W peak, with an axial sensitivity of 94 dB 1W/1m. Nominal impedance is 8 ohm with a minimum impedance of 6 ohm to match a wide range of amplifiers.
Connectivity is handled through a 4-pin Phoenix connector and an optional weatherized input cover with gland nut for outdoor terminations. A transformer-equipped “T” version offers multiple wattage taps for 70V/100V distributed systems and includes patented ASC to prevent transformer saturation at low frequencies. The speaker is compatible with standard installation hardware and optional array brackets for clustered mounting.
Typical applications include foreground and background music, speech reinforcement, and distributed paging in retail, hospitality, houses of worship, and outdoor venues. The selectable horn coverage and weatherized build make it suitable for areas requiring broad even dispersion or longer throw in assemblies.
