The ZLX-15-G2 is a 15 inch 2-way passive loudspeaker engineered for professional live sound and installed audio applications. It belongs to the ZLX-G2 series which advances the platform with improved acoustic output and refined coverage. The cabinet provides robust portability and ergonomic handling for road or installation use.
The cabinet employs Electro-Voice Signal Synchronized Transducers (SST) baffle design to improve low frequency performance and deliver even coverage across the band. A 2 kHz crossover divides the 15 inch woofer and high-frequency driver for consistent pattern control. The series also offers a 55 degree monitor angle and a 23 degree kickback angle for stage monitoring on 12 and 15 inch models.
Performance specifications include a frequency response of 68 Hz – 18,000 Hz (-3 dB) and a broader 53 Hz – 20,000 Hz (-10 dB) range. The axial sensitivity is 95 dB SPL at 1W/1m and the maximum SPL at 1 m is 126 dB. Power handling is rated at 250 W continuous and 1,000 W peak with a nominal impedance of 8 ohm and a high pass frequency of 40 Hz.
Connectivity is via industry standard NL4 connectors; the two NL4 connectors are paralleled and pass through all pins for simple cable routing. For optimal system performance the speaker is recommended to be driven by a Dynacord DSP power amplifier using the EV Speaker Database presets in SONICUE. The speaker is compatible with common professional amplifiers and DSP workflows used in touring and installed systems.
Typical applications include front of house and stage monitor duties in small to medium venues, portable PA systems, and fixed installations requiring clear speech and music reproduction. The controlled 90 x 60 coverage pattern helps focus energy on the audience area and reduce unwanted reflections. The loudspeaker’s SPL and frequency response support music playback and live reinforcement tasks.
Installation and handling are simplified by a rugged, ergonomic enclosure and a suite of available accessories including padded covers, a U-bracket for 12/15 inch mounting, a truss clamp adapter for 8 inch models, and universal wall-mount brackets. The enclosure materials and finish are specified for daily professional use and transport. Together with recommended DSP presets the ZLX-15-G2 delivers predictable, tunable performance and reliable long-term operation.
