The Adder XDIP-US is a compact fanless HDMI, USB and audio KVM extender node designed to run over standard IP networks. It extends keyboard, video, mouse and stereo audio up to 100m over CATx cabling while preserving a real-time desktop experience. The unit can function as a transmitter or receiver and can be redeployed as system needs change.
Key features include single-cable transport for HDMI video, USB 2.0 devices and analog audio, support for Power over Ethernet and a supplied external PSU with US power lead. The device supports point-to-point extension, sharing and small matrix topologies, and each receiver can view up to 16 sources while a transmitter can address up to 256 receivers. Video is delivered with low-latency compression to maintain interactive control.
Performance supports up to 1920 x 1200 at 60Hz with 60Hz video compression and low latency suitable for keyboard and mouse interaction. Audio is delivered as CD-quality stereo at 16-bit 48kHz sampling with bi-directional line in/out and headphone support for 16 or 32 Ohm loads. The extender is fanless and built for small form factor installations where noise and space are considerations.
Connectivity uses a single CAT5e/CAT6 cable for video, audio and USB transport, enabling reuse of existing structured cabling with a recommended 100m maximum run and a 40% overhead for safety. Both local and remote feed-through ports provide video and USB access at the source and user locations. Intelligent EDID management allows true monitor characteristics to be presented to host systems or a fixed EDID to be set.
Typical applications include office and control-room KVM extension, remote workstation separation for security or noise reduction, and small-scale matrix switching scenarios where multiple sources and receivers are required. The XDIP series scales from a simple point-to-point link to distributed KVM switch or sharer topologies over standard network infrastructure. It supports USB HID devices including keyboards, mice, tablets and touchscreens.
Installation is plug-and-play with zero-configuration default operation and an optional setup wizard for matrix deployments. PoE support simplifies power distribution while the supplied external PSU and US power lead provide a direct power option. The fanless design, robust EDID handling and network-based routing make the XDIP-US a practical choice for small to medium AV and IT installations.
