The VS0401 is a 4-port VGA audio switcher designed to connect up to four VGA video sources and stereo audio to a single display and speaker system. It provides simple, fast switching between connected sources using front panel pushbuttons, RS-232 control, or an IR remote. The unit supports high resolutions and industry features to maintain signal integrity in presentation and classroom environments.
The VS0401 supports resolutions up to 1920 x 1440 and maintains a 300 MHz video bandwidth to preserve image detail. Video DynaSync technology stores EDID information to prevent boot-up display issues and to optimize resolution when switching sources. The switcher also supports DDC, multisync monitors, and standard VGA signal formats including SVGA, UXGA and WUXGA.
On the control side, the VS0401 includes a bi-directional RS-232 serial port and IR remote capability. Advanced RS-232 functions include Power On Detection, Auto Switching priority, and a front panel pushbutton lock. LED indicators provide clear status for power and active source selection.
Connectivity is straightforward with four VGA inputs and one VGA output plus stereo audio I/O pairs for each source. Cabling uses standard VGA connectors and common audio cables to integrate with projectors, monitors, and audio systems. The device is plug-and-play so no software installation is required for basic operation.
