Description
The VS-88HDCPxl is an 8×8 DVI/HDMI matrix switcher designed to route any of eight DVI or HDMI inputs to any or all of eight outputs. It supports HDCP content and reclocks and equalizes signals to preserve image integrity across connected displays. The unit is rack-mountable in a standard 1U 19 inch chassis and includes front panel controls and remote management options.
Key features include a 6.75Gbps maximum data rate (2.25Gbps per graphic channel), EDID pass-through, output disconnect per output and memory locations for storing presets. HDMI features supported include Deep Color, x.v.Color, 3D pass-through and HDMI compressed audio channels. The front panel can be locked out to prevent accidental changes during operation.
Performance is built around reliable signal conditioning with reclocking and equalization to maintain resolutions up to UXGA and 1080p. The matrix supports HDTV and HDCP standards to ensure compatibility with protected sources. Power is supplied by a worldwide 100-240V AC input and typical consumption is 40VA.
Connectivity options cover eight HDMI inputs and eight HDMI outputs on DVI-D compatible connectors, plus multiple control interfaces. Control methods include front panel buttons, an IR remote, RS-232 integration and Ethernet for remote configuration and management. Included Windows-based utilities enable Ethernet configuration and virtual serial port management.
The VS-88HDCPxl is suited to presentation systems, control rooms and multi-display environments where independent routing and HDCP support are required. It can be used to share sources across multiple displays or to send a single source to several outputs simultaneously. Memory presets simplify recall of common routing configurations during events or shows.
Installation is straightforward with rack ears included and a compact 1U footprint that fits standard AV racks. Built for continuous operation the unit operates between 0°C and 40°C and stores within -40°C to 70°C. The combination of multiple control options, EDID handling and robust signal conditioning provides a practical integration solution for professional AV deployments.
