Description
The VS-84UT is an integrated AV presentation system that combines an 8×4 HDMI/HDBaseT matrix switcher with USB extension and a programmable master room controller. It routes HDMI and HDBaseT 4K@60Hz (4:2:0) sources to multiple displays while providing audio embedding and de-embedding. The unit also supplies PoE on HDBaseT outputs and power via K-NET to auxiliary controllers.
The system supports six HDMI inputs and two HDBaseT inputs routed to two HDMI outputs and two HDBaseT outputs, with data rates up to 10.2Gbps. It includes audio inputs selectable as balanced stereo or microphone arrays, unbalanced stereo inputs and both line-level and amplified outputs. Control facilities include RS-232, RS-485, IR, GPI/O, relays and Ethernet-based management.
Performance features include Kramer reKlocking and equalization for long-range HDBaseT extension up to 100m at 4K60 and longer distances at 1080p. The matrix supports HDCP and DVI compliance plus Deep Color, 3D and multichannel PCM audio. A non-volatile memory preserves the last configuration and the unit offers advanced EDID management per input.
Connectivity is comprehensive – USB 1.1/2.0 via Type-A and Type-B ports, embedded web pages for control, Protocol 3000 API, and compatibility with Kramer Network and K-Config software. The built-in Ethernet gateway supports multi-client IP control and HDBaseT tunneling over a 1G Ethernet port. K-NET provides remote keypad interfacing and optional power to auxiliary controllers.
Typical applications include classrooms, lecture theaters, conference rooms, boardrooms, hotels and houses of worship where central AV management and long-distance signal extension are required. The VS-84UT is suited to systems requiring simultaneous HDMI and HDBaseT distribution, audio embedding/breakaway, and programmable control logic. Automated scanning, auto-switching and active source detection streamline multi-user environments.
Installation is rack-friendly in a 19 inch 2U enclosure and uses universal 100-240V AC power. Firmware upgrades and system maintenance are supported over Ethernet and via a user-friendly upgrade tool. The unit is designed for integrators needing a consolidated AV matrix switcher, extender and master controller in a single chassis.
