Description
The VP-771 is a 9-input presentation switcher and scaler designed to handle mixed signal environments – it accepts DisplayPort, HDMI, SDI, VGA, component and composite sources. The unit scales and converts incoming video to a selected output resolution while maintaining sync to prevent display glitches. Built-in audio handling and an integrated amplifier provide both embedded audio routing and powered speaker outputs.
Key features include picture-in-picture and picture-and-picture windowing, precision scaling and de-interlacing, and ultra-fast fade-thru-black switching for clean transitions. The VP-771 supports advanced proc amp controls including color, contrast, brightness and gamma per input. It also offers powerful noise reduction, time base correction and 3D comb filtering for improved composite video quality.
The scaler outputs HDMI, VGA, SDI and DGKat twisted-pair simultaneously and supports output resolutions up to 2K and 1080p. HDMI deep color and HDCP compliance are supported for protected content. SDI operation covers SD, HD and 3G formats to meet broadcast and pro AV standards.
Audio routing supports embedded HDMI and SDI channels, analogue inputs including mic with talk-over and delay, plus S/PDIF and unbalanced stereo outputs. The unit embeds and de-embeds HDMI audio and provides 0-90 ms audio delay for lip-sync. A built-in 2x10W balanced stereo amplifier supplies speaker outputs for room audio without extra amplification.
Connectivity and control options include front-panel buttons, on-screen display, IR remote, RS-232 and Ethernet with firmware upgrade capability. Advanced input/output EDID management and DGKat integration extend long-run twisted-pair connectivity for remote displays. The unit includes a mass notification overlay function to display emergency messages across outputs.
The VP-771 is rack-mountable in a 1U 19 inch chassis and includes rack ears and a worldwide 100-240V AC power supply. Non-volatile memory stores configuration and selectable power-save modes reduce standby consumption. The design and feature set make it suitable for lecture halls, corporate meeting rooms and control facilities where mixed signal sources must be managed and delivered reliably.
