The ATEN VM0404HA is a 4×4 HDMI matrix switcher designed to route any of four HDMI sources to any of four HDMI displays. It supports UHD 3840×2160 and DCI 4096×2160 resolutions and multiple refresh/color formats for modern video systems. This product provides a simple control interface for centralized signal distribution in AV installations.
Key features include support for 4K resolutions at 60Hz (4:2:0) and 30Hz (4:4:4), EDID Expert to manage display EDIDs, and HDMI features such as 3D and Deep Color. The switcher delivers up to 10.2 Gbps signaling and compatibility with HDCP 1.4 and CEC. Audio formats such as Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master Audio are supported for lossless multichannel audio pass-through.
Performance specifications include a maximum pixel clock of 340 MHz and signaling rates up to 3.4 Gbps per lane. The VM0404HA supports distances up to 15 m on the output side and 1.8 m on inputs using standard HDMI cabling. The unit is firmware upgradeable to maintain compatibility with evolving HDMI devices.
Connectivity options comprise four HDMI inputs and four HDMI outputs, a micro USB port for firmware upgrades, an IR jack, and an RS-232 DB-9 control port.
