The VM-216H is a professional HDMI distribution amplifier designed to reclock and equalize one of two selectable HDMI inputs and distribute the signal to multiple identical outputs. It is engineered to maintain signal integrity over longer cable runs and to ensure consistent, repeatable video and audio delivery. The unit supports common HDMI features required in modern AV deployments to provide reliable operation in multi-display installations.
Key capabilities include a maximum data rate of 6.75Gbps and support for deep color, x.v.Color, lip sync and CEC. The VM-216H provides 3D pass-through and HDCP compliance to preserve content protection while supporting advanced display features. Kramer Equalization and re-Klocking technology rebuilds the HDMI signal to extend reach and improve stability.
From a technical standpoint the distributor handles bandwidth up to 6.75Gbps (2.25Gbps per graphic channel) and reclocks HDMI to ensure clean transitions between devices. The unit accepts two HDMI inputs and provides up to sixteen identical HDMI outputs when configured for the larger output set. Power is provided by a worldwide 100-240V AC supply and power consumption is specified at 48VA.
Connectivity options include two HDMI inputs and sixteen HDMI outputs, plus RS-232 and IR control interfaces for remote operation. Active output LED indicators provide quick visual confirmation of output status and input selection. The unit supports standard EDID handling using Kramer’s I-EDIDPro intelligent EDID processing to maximize compatibility with a wide range of displays and sources.
The VM-216H is suitable for applications such as digital signage distribution, classroom and lecture-hall AV systems, and boardroom or control-room displays where multiple identical screens must show the same source.
