Description
The VK112EU is a 12-button programmable keypad that provides a physical interface to an AV control system. It mounts in a standard 2-gang EU faceplate and supports 6 to 12 button configurations across 125 layout combinations. The keypad delivers tactile control and clear status feedback via system LEDs and dual-color button illumination.
Key capabilities include configurable button mapping, dual-color LEDs for day/night visibility, and an optional custom engraving service to label keys. The keypad supports ID pairing switches for easy integration and can be deployed as a primary or secondary control interface. Up to eight keypads can be connected to a single control box for room-wide control scaling.
On the network side the keypad uses a single RJ-45 10/100Base-T port and supports ARP / ICMP / TCP/IP / DHCP / HTTPS protocols. DHCP is enabled and the default IP used if no address is assigned within 30 seconds is 192.168.0.60 with subnet mask 255.255.255.0. Power options include Power over Ethernet or an external DC 5V supply and typical consumption is 1.25W on DC and 1.56W on PoE.
The VK112EU integrates with ATEN control boxes and control pads such as VK2200 / VK1200 / VK2100A / VK1100A and VK0100 / VK0200 over a LAN. Configuration is performed using VK6000 software or the keypad’s intuitive web GUI for button layout and behavior settings. A tabletop kit (VK102) and a bundled tabletop variant (VK112EUTTK) allow flat-surface or wall mounting as required.
Typical applications include meeting rooms, classrooms, and conference centers where a compact, networked control surface is required. The keypad is suitable as the main room operator interface or as a dedicated secondary controller for specific devices. Its customizable layouts and engraving make it useful where labelled, repeatable control sequences are needed.
Installation is straightforward with snap-together button packs and standard faceplate fitting. The housing is molded plastic and the product is designed for 0 – 50°C operating temperature and 0 – 80% RH non-condensing humidity.
