The VE901T is a DisplayPort HDBaseT-Lite transmitter designed to extend DisplayPort video signals over a single Cat cable. It provides long-reach video distribution while maintaining signal integrity and compatibility with DisplayPort and HDCP standards. The unit is compact, rack-mountable, and built for reliable operation in professional AV environments.
Key features include HDBaseT connectivity for single-cable extension, HDBaseT Anti-Jamming to resist signal interference, and a 3.3V/500mA auxiliary power output for small accessories. The transmitter supports up to 4K resolution at extended distances when paired with Cat 6a or ATEN 2L-2910 Cat 6 cable. A locking DC jack and lightweight metal housing simplify secure installations and reduce accidental disconnects.
In terms of performance the VE901T supports a maximum data rate of 10.2 Gbps and a pixel clock up to 297 MHz. It supports 4K formats including 4096 x 2160 and 3840 x 2160 at 30 Hz with 4:4:4 chroma when used within specified distances. The device is HDCP compatible and optimized to deliver 1080p signals to distances up to 70 m over Cat 6a/ATEN 2L-2910 Cat 6 and up to 60 m over Cat 5e/6 at lower resolutions.
Connectivity is simple and industry standard – a single DisplayPort female input carries video and embedded audio while a single RJ-45 unit-to-unit port provides the HDBaseT link to a receiver. Power is provided via a locking DC jack rated for the included supply and the unit also provides a 3.3V/500mA output to power small auxiliary devices. There is no separate audio output on the transmitter since audio is carried over DisplayPort to the linked receiver.
The VE901T is suited to medical, military, control room, digital signage, and broadcast environments where RF immunity and reliable long-distance delivery are important. It is also appropriate for conference rooms and remote displays where a single structured cable run reduces installation complexity.
