The US-2x2HR is a compact 2-in/2-out high-resolution USB audio/MIDI interface designed to capture and route professional audio. It provides two combo mic/line inputs with instrument capability and Ultra HDDA mic preamps supporting 24-bit/192kHz. The unit also includes MIDI I/O and zero-latency direct monitoring to support tracking and performance workflows.
Key features include selectable low-latency buffer settings via the improved TASCAM driver, a loopback function for streaming, and native OBS compatibility. The Ultra HDDA preamps deliver transparent, low-noise capture with +48V phantom power on both XLR inputs. The unit supports stereo/mono switching and direct monitoring for immediate, delay-free monitoring during recording or broadcast.
Technical specifications include support for sample rates up to 192 kHz and 24-bit quantization, a USB Type-C connection using USB 2.0 High Speed, and low noise mic amp EIN performance. Connectivity covers two XLR/TRS combo inputs with instrument switching, two balanced TRS line outputs, a stereo headphone output, plus MIDI IN/OUT DIN connectors. A USB Type-C port provides host connectivity and bus power while also supporting compatible iPad and iOS devices when appropriate power is applied.
