Maximum bandwidth requires DP 1.4 Alt Mode with DSC 3:1 and HBR3. DP 1.2 Alt Mode limits HDMI output to 4K @ 30 Hz.
Extend mode requires GPU MST support; macOS supports single-extended display with identical content on dual monitors.
The maximum resolution supported on HDMI 2 alone is 4K @ 120 Hz.
