The Dynacord U60:1M is a compact 60 watt single-channel mixer amplifier designed for small to medium installations where reliable background music and intelligible voice announcements are required. It combines a mixer section and Class D power amplifier in a half 19 inch rack form factor for flexible mounting options. The unit delivers full power into LowZ and HighZ loads and supports 70 V and 100 V distributed speaker systems.
Key features include four inputs with two mic/line channels that offer switchable +48 V phantom power and VOX ducking on the second mic input. The amplifier provides an EMG priority input and contact override with a two-tone chime to ensure emergency messages take precedence. User controls and DIP switches allow configuration of HPF, VOX, EMG input impedance, phantom power and output mode.
Performance is driven by a Class D output stage with a frequency response of 70 Hz to 22 kHz for any input to output and below 10 Hz to 65 kHz for input to LINE output. Distortion is specified below 1% at rated output power at 1 kHz and equalization includes bass and treble shelving of ±12 dB. LO-CUT filtering is available as a permanent 70 Hz or switchable 120 Hz high-pass filter to reduce low frequency noise.
Connectivity covers 3-pin XLR mic/line inputs, Eurostyle connectors for remote control and loudspeaker outputs, RCA line inputs converted to mono, and a dedicated 100 V EMG input on a balanced 2-pin connector. Remote power on/off is supported via a 2-pin Eurostyle contact closure and front-panel LEDs provide signal, peak, call, protect and power status. The loudspeaker output uses a 4-pin Eurostyle terminal to separate LowZ and HiZ connections.
The U60:1M is suited to applications including retail shops, restaurants and bars for background music and paging, educational facilities and conference rooms for announcements, and small houses of worship and museums where clear voice reproduction is important. Its EMG and contact-override functions make it appropriate for transport hubs and public spaces that require prioritized evacuation messaging. The compact half-rack footprint makes it easy to deploy multiple units side-by-side to expand channel count and output power.
Installation and operation are straightforward thanks to fanless convection cooling, rack and desktop mounting options, and a lightweight chassis. The unit includes thermal, short circuit and overcurrent protections as well as switching mode power supply safeguards for reliable continuous operation. Front-panel status LEDs and DIP switch configuration simplify setup and day-to-day use while maintaining professional audio performance.
