Designed primarily for tabletop use, the TM-90BM captures sound by way of a hemispherical pickup pattern and is a great way to capture recordings of podcast groups or meeting attendees without having to bother with multiple mics and submixers. The TM-90BM may also be placed on floors or walls to capture drum kits, acoustic pianaos, guitar, percussion and more.
The TASCAM TM-90BM kit includes the TM-90BM Boundary Microphone, a hard carry case and a dedicated patch cable wich terminates in a male XLR connector.
Broad coverage for a variety of applications
While the TM-90BM does feature a hemispherical pickup patter on the Horizontal plane, it is also a uni-directional condenser mic on the vertical plane, and should be positioned with the TASCAM logo facing the audio source. And being a condenser microphone, the TM-90BM requires Phantom power which can be supplied remotely from your mixer, Mic preamp or audio interface as well as through the use of an on-board dry-cell battery.
Low Profile Design
With a height of only 24 mm, the TM-90BM is easy to place outside of the view of the audience or the camera. In addition, the TM-90BM features a sleek matte black finish to aid in a stealthy approach to meeting room and set design.

Bass Tilt Switch to customize low frequency response
When capturing voices in a room, low frequencies may cause unwanted rumble or make speech difficult to understand. To address this, the TM-90BM features a unique BASS TILT switch mounted on the bottom of the unit. This switch can also be used to subtly boost the low end when recording musical instruments to add a welcome warmth and fullness to the sound.
